About Dr. George Shapiro

For the last 25 years, Dr. George Shapiro has specialized in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Age Management, a healthcare discipline that is gaining popularity. Humans today are living longer. It is no surprise that Americans want to remain high functioning as they age. With a focus on maintaining and prolonging people’s health as they age, this field promotes preventative measures such as good eating habits, regular exercise, and hormone treatments. 

After Dr. Shapiro finished schooling, he began his career at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. During this period, he began perfecting his skills in Cardiovascular Disease Management, particularly Congestive Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation. 

In addition to running a successful local private practice, Dr. George Shapiro was and still is pushed by the need to revolutionize medicine. He has patented medical equipment and invented new medical procedures. This curiosity is what led him to the field of Age Management Medicine. He now spends most of his time focusing on regenerative medicine, preventing heart disease and strokes, and extending overall lifespans. 

Today, Dr. George Shapiro provides Age Management therapies to some of the world’s most influential figures in business and society. Patients undergo extensive evaluations before treatment, including a lifestyle assessment, comprehensive medical history, physical examination, and laboratory evaluation. This helps Dr. Shapiro and his team develop personalized proactive treatment plans that include proper diet, exercise, stress management, and appropriate medical interventions. 

Dr. Shapiro is a member of 13 medical societies, a speaker for the Age Management Medicine Group (AMMG), and a member of the AMMG planning committee’s panel. He was named Chief Medical Officer for The NFL Alumni’s Optimal Bowl and Wellness Challenge, a one-of-a-kind wellbeing competition to tackle the national obesity crisis. Dr. Shapiro’s participation in the series was prominently featured in documentaries, on social media, and in public relations campaigns to promote the proper techniques for enhancing peoples’ wellness. 

Dr. George Shapiro has also been a national speaker for several major pharmaceutical corporations. He has served as a clinical expert for numerous radio stations and as a medical consultant for many television programs. He is also actively involved with his community. Dr. Shapiro serves his local, regional, and national regions as an Emergency Responder in various capacities, including Advanced HAZ-MAT Technician for the Westchester County Department of Special Operations and Physician/Firefighter with the Ardsley Volunteer Fire Department.
